Meet Our Founder
Founder | Epic Consultant | Principal Trainer | Clinical Workflow Specialist
Peggy L. Conner is the founder of Clinical Workflow Solutions and brings more than two decades of healthcare information technology, clinical workflow optimization, and Epic training experience to healthcare organizations across the nation.
Her passion for helping providers succeed with technology has been the driving force behind a career dedicated to improving clinical workflows, increasing user adoption, and enhancing patient care through effective use of electronic health records.
A California resident since 1981, Peggy relocated from Michigan to pursue opportunities in the rapidly growing field of Information Services. She began her professional career with CompuCorp in Santa Monica, California, where her technical expertise and strong communication skills quickly distinguished her as a rising leader. Early in her career, she was selected for a prestigious assignment in Washington, D.C., serving as a Marketing Support Representative providing on-site technical support and system training to high-profile clients, including the Superior Courts and the White House.
Peggy’s healthcare technology journey expanded significantly in 2007 when she earned her Epic Ambulatory Certification from Epic Systems in Madison, Wisconsin while serving as an Epic Ambulatory Analyst at UC San Diego Health. During a critical period of electronic health record implementation, she played an instrumental role in configuring workflows, supporting clinical operations, and training providers and staff on the effective use of Epic.
Recognizing her unique ability to bridge the gap between technology and patient care, Peggy entered the healthcare consulting arena in 2009. Over the years, she has worked with some of the nation’s most respected healthcare organizations, providing Epic training, workflow consulting, and implementation support for physicians, nurses, and clinical teams. Her consulting experience includes engagements with leading healthcare institutions such as NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital, Group Health Cooperative, Allegheny Health Network, and the Sisters of St. Mary Health System, among many others.
In 2017, Peggy returned to Southern California to support the implementation of Epic at UC Irvine Health. As a consultant, she helped design and deliver comprehensive training programs for providers and nursing staff during the organization’s Epic rollout. Her leadership, expertise, and commitment to user success led to her recruitment as a full-time Principal Trainer in 2019, where she specialized in Epic Ambulatory training and provider adoption strategies.
Today, through Clinical Workflow Solutions, Peggy combines decades of hands-on healthcare IT experience with a deep understanding of clinical operations to help healthcare organizations improve efficiency, optimize workflows, strengthen provider satisfaction, and maximize the value of their technology investments.
